of Wisdom Points
Wisdom Point 1 - On Finding The Mother And Father Of Our Soul
In the womb, we don't know the mother and father of our body, which is the mind and desire of our parents, so we must go in search of them, finding them by becoming them, and likewise, in the body, in our mind and desire, we don't know the mother and father of our soul, which is God, so we must go in search of Him, finding God by becoming God, by becoming One with God as True Man, as the "Oneness of God and True Man", which in truth is God and True Man within us. Amen.
Wisdom Point 2 - On Worshipping Outside
Divisions of prayer like the temple and mosque should exist, but the motionless one cannot be loved through these places of worship.
Worship on the outside is like the child in the womb, who doesn't know the mother and father of his body, so goes in search of them by being born into the world of the mother and father of his body, of his mind and desire, and by living in the world like them finds them, by enlarging his knowledge about them, by analyzing and discriminating between the things that he sees in the world, he comes to knows them, and finally by becoming them, he comes to understands them, and in this way, starts the process all over again, by becoming the mother and father of his own children, unless steps in, and transforms this process into another level within us, of the soul looking for its Mother and Father, which are the Qualities of God, and the Power of God.
All of this, the Hindu Kovel, and the Islamic Mosque, as well as the Jewish Temple, and the Zoroastrian place of worship, as well as the process of living in the body of the nine openings, in the world that we see in our ignorance as existing "outside" of us, of living a life of "separation and differences", of becoming the mother and father of our body, of becoming the mind and desire that gave birth to the darkness within our body of earth, fire, water, air, and ether, all of this is worship on the outside, is worship in places on the "outside" of us.
Wisdom Point 3 - On Worshipping Inside
Worshipping on the inside is hearts work, it is the work of the Guru, as "One with" us within us, not us as "separate from" the Guru, and from God within Him, it is what He does if and when we turn to Him while living in the world, while worshipping on the outside, and offer ourselves to Him as His prayer mat, in this way, experiencing His prayer as our own, as the One True Prayer within us.
It is what happens when we say the word "Bawa", or "Bawa Muhaiyaddeen", or "Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen" (may God be pleased with Him), before we "say or do" anything, invoking the "Name of God" for our age in this way establishing the "Presence of God" within us, before we "say or do" anything, in this way, allowing God within us to move forward again what He started within each of us a very, very long time ago, which is to reveal God to God within us, for the benefit of all of the Creation of God within us. Amen.
"In every duty, give up the thought that you are doing it. Instead, act with the
thought that God must do it, give Him the responsibility, and then perform the
the duty. Even your intentions must be surrendered to God."
See also, Chapter 11, page 125, "The Ocean of Divine Knowledge ('Ilm)", in the book by His Holiness, "Islam & World Peace: Explanations of a Sufi", for a beautiful explanation of these two different forms of prayer, but related forms of worship - outside and inside - if we but join with His Holiness within us, and God within Him, to do it, to do whatever it is that we are doing, before we die it. Such is the "Straight Path" of God within us. Amen.
My love you (anbu) - Shaikh Muhaiyaddeen (Louie Beutler).
